Our Scouting and Girl Guiding groups regularly get involved in green issues to support the environment, with activities such as litter picking local roads and cleaning up woodlands.

At the Scout and Guide HQ we also do our bit to responsibly manage waste. We collect waste paper with MW White, but we did not have a general recycling facility. After following the Norfolk’s Recycling Revolution campaign with interest, we’ve worked with Lisa Fountain, Waste Reduction Officer at South Norfolk Council, and arranged for a new waste and recycling bin to be installed at the HQ. This will divert some recycling materials from the waste stream, and allow our group leaders to incorporate recycling in their sessions and to lead by example.

Mike Amiss Signs has kindly donated stickers to identify our bins, and to proudly display our commitment to the environment.
